I believe apple isn't the same since Steve Jobs left it. I was of the
belief that the ideals and procedures he put in place that apple would
be continuing in the same way it has thus far.
It appears that is not so. I'm not saying that with Steve and the helm
that there wasn't some failures, with with the new IOS5 and iTunes
match, things are not as simple as they once were, and while there are
some great innovation. It doesn't "JUST WORK" like apple stuff has for
    so long.

I've experienced issues with iTunes match where "an error has occured"
and you have to log out and back in again, just to be asked would you
like to add this computer to itunes match? IT ALREADY IS. Theres been
times where its come up with the cloud icon with a lightning bolt
simple, to indicate the cloud is down, BUT ITS NOT, it just itunes
    match broken.

Is it worth the dollars. Right now I'm not all that impressed. Time will tell.

If you love your motor acing and don't feel like you could ever get
the chance, well here comes iRacing. One of the best multi-player
    simulators on the planet.
I just got done racing at Okayama, one of the many tracks on iRacing,
    and driving the Mazda MX5's.

This race saw me take off from pole position and leading for several
laps, however the pace Rodney Fletcher was too much for me and saw me
fall back to 2nd place, however for many laps I was less than a second
away, until a mistake saw me drop 4 seconds and into the clutches of
the P3 car, the race ended with Rodney in P1 and myself in P2.

A very hard race, but a fantastic result.

Interesting to see the news broadcast coverage of the cylcone mentioning shortwave radio frequencies, as when the storm hits it will most probably bring down radio/mobile towers for serveral hundred km's.. Good to remind people that there will be times like this, and shortwave makes the distance in times of emergency, and it ain't dead, specially when the info needs to get out there. Not forgetting the Amateur radio operators that will spur into action as maybe the only form of communication in and out of the affected areas(never forget them. its times like this that they shine)

Well its just a start towards contacting the International Space Station.

The ISS is running some Amateur radio equipment, part of that is a
means of communicating with it via a slow but reliable means in a
digital (computer to computer manner) using whats called packet radio.

I have yet to improve my equipment, receiving wise, so the screen cap
shows a lot of incorrectly decoded packets, but it is a start. I can
decode it, hoping to make a contact in the coming weeks.

But it is clear that it is the ISS, at the time of decoding VK2MAL was
    connected.

But the process in no longer as cheap or as easy as it once was. Why
put more barriers in the way of people taking up the hobby. It's
popularity is not all that staggering to start off with.

Come on we can do better.

Only my opinion and my gripe.

You gotta admit if you are a regular facebooker that if you've ever
tried to chat with someone its reliability is flaky at best. This got
me thinking facebook already have a jump start on the instant
    messaging game.

Yes google have tried it and had moderate success, but I think its
time facebook got officially in the im game. Something that can be
taken off facebook with some facebook integration, and yes I know
there are 3rd party apps which bridges that gap but its still hitching
    off facebooks flaky chat api.

With facebook connect making great inroads last year facebook is
becoming a part of our life just like IM. Now its time the bring them
both together in an open manner something portable and open like XMMP.

Wouldn't hurt to borrow some ideas from google wave and really take
socialising the web to the next level.
